Description

Product: Restaurant Grade Marabu Lumpwood Charcoal (10kg)

Description:

Our 10kg bags of Restaurant Grade Marabu Lumpwood Charcoal are sustainably produced from the dense wood of the invasive Marabu bush (Dichrostachys cinerea) in Cuba. This hardwood charcoal is not only environmentally friendly but also delivers exceptional grilling performance with long-lasting heat and rich, subtle flavour. Marabu charcoal is a favorite among chefs and barbecue enthusiasts due to its clean burn and ability to reach very high temperatures, making it ideal for all grilling styles.

Features:

  • 15kg of Marabu charcoal – Ideal for professional chefs and home grilling aficionados.
  • Restaurant grade – Contains large, high-quality chunks that burn evenly and consistently.
  • Energy-efficient – Burns for extended periods, making it great for long grilling sessions.
  • Very high temperatures – Perfect for searing steaks and achieving those perfect grill marks.
  • Neutral smell – Imparts a mild, clean smoke flavor that won’t overpower your food.
  • Eco-friendly – Sustainably harvested from the invasive Marabu bush in Cuba, promoting environmental health.
  • Suitable for open and closed barbecues – Versatile for all types of BBQ setups, from smokers to traditional grills.

Why Choose Marabu Charcoal?

Marabu charcoal is made from a fast-growing, invasive plant species in Cuba, which is actively controlled to protect native ecosystems. The dense nature of the wood makes it perfect for charcoal production, offering longer burn times and higher temperatures compared to other charcoal types. This makes it particularly popular for high-heat grilling, such as searing meats or achieving a perfect crispy crust on steaks.

Flavour and Performance:

Marabu charcoal produces minimal ash and burns cleanly, releasing very little smoke, which means you get more pure flavour from your food. Its neutral scent allows the natural flavours of your grilled dishes to shine through without interference. Whether you’re grilling meats, vegetables, or even smoking, Marabu charcoal offers consistent heat, making it a top choice for both amateur and professional barbecuers.

Sustainability and Eco-Friendliness:

Using Marabu charcoal helps support sustainable practices by utilizing an invasive species that threatens the local ecosystem in Cuba. By turning Marabu bushes into high-quality charcoal, this process not only contributes to a healthier environment but also supports sustainable land management in Cuba.

Ideal for:

  • High-heat cooking – Perfect for searing and grilling at very high temperatures.
  • Long cooking sessions – Its longevity ensures a consistent heat source, reducing the need for frequent charcoal replenishment.
  • Gourmet grilling – The high-quality, restaurant-grade chunks deliver a superior cooking experience, whether for a casual barbecue or a fine dining event.

Marabu Lumpwood Charcoal is the ultimate choice for those who appreciate premium, eco-friendly grilling with incredible heat retention and flavour enhancement.
