Surefire Wood Turns 30

In 2019, the Surefire Wood family business has been operating for 30 years.

Starting off in humble beginnings, working with small saws and splitters, our business has grown and developed year on year. We recognised at an early stage the need for a quality, renewable fuel and have invested in the most efficient, modern automated sawing and splitting machinery, as well as state of the art drying kilns.

We source all our wood locally from FSC®100% well-managed forests and have full control of the drying and cutting process from start to finish ensuring our customers have a reliable, renewable product.

We currently employ over 30 people including 9 family members and have 30
years’ experience in Firewood supplying UK and Irish supermarkets.

As well as supplying large retailers, we also do home deliveries throughout the UK
and Ireland. Currently selling a selection of Firewood products online, including Logs, Coal and Kindling, perfect for Stoves, Open Fires, Chimineas, Pizza Ovens and Fire Pits. We also stock well-seasoned hardwood and softwood as well as log baskets, decorative logs & odourless firestarters – so you are sure to find a package right for your home.

We recently won Family Business of the Year 2019 in the Fermanagh Herald Business Awards in September.
